Error during Suse9 installation on a HP Proliant ML350 G5

Hi All,

I'm trying to install Suse9 in a Proliant ML350 G5 HP machine. But, after language option at the beginning of the installation, an error occurs.

The error message is: "No hard disk found for the installation" .

Anybody knows or have already seen this error to help me?!

Hi Felippe,

I don't know much about the ML350, so bare that in mind while reading answer.

Anyway, Linux is very particular with sata drivers, so if it is a sata controller, you might have more luck looking in that direction, Just google for sata and linux install, there's plenty to read on the subject.

Also, once you installed it, make sure you have the proper sata drivers in your kernel image, otherwise, you'll install ok, but will never be able to boot it after that !
