FMA 2.5 in StorageWorks NAS 4000s

A customer wants to install FMA 2.5 in a StorageWorks NAS 4000s. According to the product release notes, minimum hardware system requirements are Intel ® Xeon ® 3.60 GHz.

NAS 4000s has two Intel Xeon 3.2GHz Processors, below requirements, but it has two processors. (Basically it is a DL380G3).

Two 3.2 GHz processors meet the minimum requirement of a 3.6GHz processor?

Has anyone installed (FMA 2.5) on a server like this?
Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Sarandi

Hello Sarandi,

it depends on the customers enviroment. Sure it will run, but maybe the performance is not acceptable. A application must be optimzed for SMP. Otherweise a second CPU is only a expensive piece of melted sand.
