Failed to install Windows 2008 storage server

Hi,

We tried to reinstall the OS of windows 2008 storage server after the OS is crashed. The server model is X1800 and PID is AP897A.

When we load the recovery DVD it shows the following error :

The system does not appear to be a storage system.

Hey, which version of the recovery DVD do you have?

You can get the latest on software.hp.com

If you look in BIOS on the server, what product number is set?

Hi,

Thanks for your post. Finally We found in the BIOS shows wrong serial number ( after change the mother board). After fix the issue we are able to install the OS.
