HP AIO 600 - cannot recover - urgent help appreciated
Hi,
We've logged a case with HP (4619740487).
Basically x2 disks in a RAID 5 array failed this morning. We lost the server.
So - we popped in Smartstart, wiped the arrays, rebooted and pressed ESC when the E200i tried to automatically create a volume, booted from the recovery DVD (ver 1.3) which configured the disks ok, rebooted, and then it tried to apply the image from the DVD - its erroring with 'Symantec Ghost error 518 - the image is invalid'.
Please please help us - this is our backup server (which we've backed up) and urgently need to get the OS back on it to recover.

Re: HP AIO 600 - cannot recover - urgent help appreciated
Little update - went back into the E200i config (F8) menu and wiped the logical drives again (the ones that the first attempt at recovery made)
Loaded recovery disk again - its now in the process of copying the image, so its managed to get further now which is good but fingers crossed it finishes okay. Will keep you posted.

Re: HP AIO 600 - cannot recover - urgent help appreciated
Okay this worked (wiping config and starting again). We now have a blank Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 curtosey of the HP recovery DVD.
Now just need to call Symantec to get them to restore the media server!
Will close this thread.

Solution was to wipe the config in the F8 menu and start the setup process again. The dreaded image error did not re-occur thankfully.
