HP NAS 1200
I picked up an HP 1200 NAS from Ebay. It did not come with an OS, so I loaded openfiler from a USB CDROM. It installed fine but after 5 minutes while loaded, it just reboots with the error "Failed to boot from all devices. System hang !"
If I power off the unit and power on, it will boot to Openfiler and work for 5 minutes...
Did it buy a lemon?
Joe

Re: HP NAS 1200
Hi Joe, nope your box is probably OK.
These systems are designed to be built using a system restore CD which creates primary and secondary OS partitions and configures windows with all the hardware drivers and sets up the data partitions. I've had a number of customers who have tried to do an install with a regular OS cd and it Never works! The CD is free from HP. go to the NAS 1200 support and downloads section and order it. Usualy takes a couple of weeks to arrive by post.
