HP ProLiant DL185 G5 Storage Server

We received a HP ProLiant DL185 G5 Storage Server. The client isn't using it as a Storage Server. They want us to install Windows 2003 Standard 32bit.

I don't see where this server supports a SmartStart installation. I'm trying to figurte out:

(1) Can I just install an OS on this server?
(2) What is the process for such an installation?

I have the same problem. I cant seem to get Volume Shadow Copies to work on a 20tb drive. From what i've found i'm hoping that using W2K3 R2 x64 i will be able to. I tried installing from smartstart 7.8 but it said it was incompatible. I've looked through HP's site and found reference to using smartstart 7.4 to erase drives, maybe this will work?

but then goes on to say "...SmartStart is distributed standard with all ProLiant ML & DL 300, 500 & 700 series servers and ProLiant BladeSystem servers"

I called up support on this before and they said you can only install microsoft windows storage server 2003 r2 x64. I've tried installing other os' on this like esx, open-e, and windows 2003 i386 enterprise. But they all failed.
