HP StorageWorks MSA2012i

Hi,

I have this NAS in my datacenter. I've start work a few month on this new environment.

Yesterday, i want to assign space to Linux server. But i don't know how to assign using this NAS.

Do HP have tutorial or perhaps step by step. I only know that this NAS don't have OS. But i'm not confirm about that.

Can HP provide any link that related?

Thank you.

Re: HP StorageWorks MSA2012i

Hi, you need to log on to the web interface of the MSA2012i. In there you can add a host, create vdisk and then assign it to a host.

http://bizsupport2.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01394285/c01394285.pdf

Is the user guide for the MSA2012i

HP's manuals for the MSA2012i can be found here:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=101&prodClassId=-1&contentType=SupportManual&docIndexId=64180&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=3687128

Googled a little bit, http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/howto-setup-debian-ubuntu-linux-iscsi-initiator/ seemed to have info for how to do this on linux.
