Are you there Scooter? If so, what was the firmware that you used to get it working?
Thanks,
Andy

Re: HP SureStore CD-ROM Server/Tower 7 (J3277A)
Just checked in again and I'll have to check the firmware and if we still have the unit here. As my collegue who I flashed the FW with is out of the country right now this will be done after the 1st of Feb 2004. I'll check in again asap.
Kind regards,
SCOOTER

Re: HP SureStore CD-ROM Server/Tower 7 (J3277A)
I have a more basic problem.
I have the same CD-ROM server (J3277A)
without any informations on it.
Where can I found the instructions to setup the IP address ?
When this issue will be fixed, I will download the latest firmware.
Thanks in advance.
JBM.

Re: HP SureStore CD-ROM Server/Tower 7 (J3277A)
Reply to lats question: Reset the box ping it and ARP and IP to it's MAC.
Default username is "root" and default password is "pass" without quotes.
Factory reset is done by:
1 turning off unit
2 pressing button on the back with paperclip holding down while powering on the unit.
3 hold button until Status/Network leds blink orange with 2 sec. intervalls.
4 release button for 2 seconds and press and hold again for 10 sec or more until Status light is steady orange
5 turn off the unit and wait for atleast 30 second before powering again.
6 use the "arp-s ip mac" command to set the IP on the device.
7 http to the IP...
Kind regards,
SCOOTER

Re: HP SureStore CD-ROM Server/Tower 7 (J3277A)
What Axis type is the same as the J3277A? I want to upgrade my firmware so windows xp clients can browse cd's. SCOOTER told that the lastest version is 5.35 but for what axis cd tower version?
Thanks,
Michel
