Installing FPNW error RPC server Unavailable
Hi All,
I'm trying to install FPNW on a new NAS 1000s 320.
After selecting Netware File and Printservices and OK I'm getting the error:
Could not add requested component. Error: the rpc service is unavailable.
Was applaying alos the BLASTER / Sasser patches and running an actual stinger program on it just in case I got the worm; but still the same error messages comes up everytime. BTW the RPC service is running. I can install without any probelm the Gateway service for Netware.
Does anyone has an idea what can be the promlem?
Thanks in advance,
Thomas

Re: Installing FPNW error RPC server Unavailable
Do you mean NAS 1200s. File and Print Services for Netware feature is not on the 1000s. It is a feature on the 1200s. PLease clarify.

Re: Installing FPNW error RPC server Unavailable
Hi Guys,
I know this is an old post, but I have just purchased two 1000s NAS Servers with the sole intention of installing FPNW as stated in the Administration Guide (page 135).
FPNW is an option to install from the preloaded software so one would assume it is supposed to work, however, I am getting the same result, ie, RPC Server is unavailable.
Anyone?? Please??
Thanks
Mark S.
