MSA2012sa support on X1800
The MSA2012sa was supported on the DL380 G5 Storage Server. The MSA2012sa is not shown on the quickspecs for the X1800. Why? Is it a matter of not having had the time to test or are there problems supporting storage in these units?

Re: MSA2012sa support on X1800
A Storage Box will not be tested on all the products available in the market. Usually the testing is done for understanding the compatibility and performance of a unit, when it is used with the most commonly used servers.
This as per me is not good because sometimes as an admin you don't have a document which says that you have a supported configuration and at the same time it is not unsupported as well.
Not to blame HP or any manufacturer as they cant test there stuff on all the available possibilities.
Regards,
Sunny

Hi,
DL380 G5 Storage supports at least MSA2000 G2. Dont know about G1, but they work differently too...
