Max B2000 size hard drive for enclosure

I have a B2000 (DL380 G2) with a 5300 4 channel contoller with 128 ram and 4- 14bay drive cabinets. Can I use the 300 GB drives in my system or am I limited to the 146 GB drives. If I can't use the larger drive is there an upgrade I can do so I can.

One question I have is: Do you really want to invest this much in such old technology?

If you like the ease of use and feature set of the NAS (Storage Server) there are many new product offerings ( http://h18006.www1.hp.com/storage/disk_storage/storage_servers/index.html ). Some are even SATA which will get you the capacity you are looking for at a cheaper price. Please note that SATA will not give the same performance or reliability.

Sorry about the advertizing, I'm an HP guy and I think it's in my contract. ;)

Even though the B2000 is old technology it has been a really solid and highly reliable system. I found a lot of parts on Ebay at a great price. I doubt I could buy a newer system for what I can get the used parts for and not sure how much I would gain. The B2000 works extremely well for our application. Eventually we will probably have to upgrade.

We store a lot of graphic files on the B2000 and wondered what you would recommend as the strip size for the array. I looking for the best performance.
