Media Vault mv2120 (how to clear the internal drive?)

Please bear with me as I am somewhat of a computer novice when it comes to NAS devices. I own an HP Media Vault mv2120 and have no idea how to clear the internal drive (500 GB). I have a lot of corrupt data on there and wish to erase the entire thing and start over. I am basically cleaning up my PC (and media vault) and want to rebuild, reformat, and reinstall my home network from the ground up. The product manual doesnt seem to have a section on erasing the internal drive? I'd appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, but I have looked at that site already. They don't have any info on how to clear the internal drive on the second gen (MV2) media vaults. I'm still stuck....

So, I think what you want is to reinstall the hard drive as if it were a new one. You could follow the upgrade procedure here:

http://k0lee.com/hpmediavault/mv2upgrade.htm
(You could start with step 6 )

(Here are some additional references)
Here's the "How Do I Link"

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/documentSubCategory?tmp_rule=4120&tmp_task=useCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&site=null&key=null&product=3660805

Here's the Reinstall Link (Skip the hardware part)

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01336199&tmp_task=useCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&site=null&product=3660805&key=null

If the above doesn't work then you may have to wipe the hard drive somehow. Since it's just a SATA drive, it could be removed and installed in a PC and reformatted then reinstalled in the MV.
