NAS 1200 QuickRestore Failes with a new DiamondMax Plus 9 250GB Drive

I have a NAS1000S, with 4 DiamondMax Plus 9 250GB drives. It was operating fine with the 1200S upgrade until one of the drives failed.

I replaced the failed drive with a DiamondMax Plus 9 drive, however, now QuickResore failes.
Depending on the drive positioning I get one of the two failures:
"Boot Error - Failed to boot for all devices system hang"
"Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem. Could not read from the selected boot disk. Check boot path and disk hardware"

Clearly it seems like this new drive is not compatible, does anyone have any suggestions? Alternativly, how can I ensure I get the right model of DiamondMax Plus 9 250GB drive.

The model numbers report for each drive are:
6Y250P0
6Y250P0
6Y250P0
7Y250P0
