NAS 1200 WSS 2003 reboot

I've installed Windows Server Standard on NAS 1200s. The installation passed OK, unfortunately the system tends to reboot itself after x minutes of normal functioning. It didn't happen when NAS worked with original Windows installation.

I would be very grateful for any help,
Regards,

Have you checked the event viewer to see what it says. It could be overheating or it may have the blaster virus that stops the rpc service. When that stops the server will reboot.

Elias,

Only Windows Storage Server 2003 will operate on a NAS 1200s. You can obtain a 1200s NAS Quick Restore disc (free) from the following site:

Re: NAS 1200 WSS 2003 reboot

Elias,

The Windows Server 2003 supplied with the NAS has a service to reset the hardware watchdog in the NAS. If this isn't running, the NAS will repeatedly reboot.

You can solve this one of two ways: install the WSS supplied by HP with the NAS, or turn off the hardware watchdog in the BIOS setup.
