NAS 1200s and supported filetypes

(I posted this before but the messages is gone?)

Whenever a user double-clicks a file of a filetype that Microsoft doesn't know but the workstation of the user does, a messages 'File not found' is displayed. The file is there, it can be copied to the workstation and opened there but NOT from the NAS device.

Examples of filetypes are .mov and .mp4

I have searched the online stuff and the documentation but was unable to find a solution.

In my opinion a filetype should be of no concern to the storage device in use.
