NAS and DC's

Is it possible to use a NAS appliance as a Domain Controller?
I have some remote offices will small numbers of users. Is ist possible to configure the NAS for File and as a DC or am I better with a NAS and a sperate server as the DC

Edmond,
you should have received a license information with the server that explains what you can do with the box. Most likely you are not allowed to use a NAS server for anything else (DC, DB server, ...) and sometimes the OEM has even removed key files from the installation image.

Hi Edmond,

No .. Microsoft will not allow Windows Storage Server (WSS) 2003 to be a domain controller. In fact, the WSS based NAS cannot serve as a DNS or WINS server. However, you are allowed enable DHCP services on it.
