NAS9000 and SFU

We have 2 NAS9000s clustered in a Windows 2003 Active Directory.
I have recently applied service release 2 to the NAS heads and this has resolved some problems.
I wish to use a lot of NFS shares as cluster resources.
SFU 3.0 comes with the NAS heads. Is it necessary to upgrade this to sfu 3.5?
Also do I need to install the unix name mapping service on all of the domain controllers as I have an AD based on Windows2003?
Many thanks in advance
Regards
Jonathan

Re: NAS9000 and SFU

Jonathan,

The NFS services included with the 9000s are the same ones in SFU 3.5 and so no upgrade is necessary. The only exception being SFU 3.5 has added Unix Utilities and Perl Scripting abilities. Currently upgrading the NFS Services on the 9000s to SFU 3.5 is not supported by HP.

Yes, you need to install Server for NFS Authentication software on ALL domain controllers for user name mapping to work correctly.
