we have a G5 server in our Company that is Database Server .We want to use Nas support 120 GB and Clustering technology .
What can we do ?
What is your suggestion about it?

120 GB is nothing today. You will get much more space then you acutal need.

The ML110 G5 Storage Server is what you need, but there is no clustering feature.

The DL380 G5 Storage Server x64 SAN Model gives you a choice to build a cluster, but it's expensive.

Then you have to take a DL380 G5 Storageserver and an external Storage, like an MSA2000fc. You need an external Storage for a cluster solution.

If you are firm with linux, you can build a Samba Cluster with two small ML110 G5 or ML150, Linux, DRBD, Heartbeat and Samba. In this case you can use the local storage. The data will be replicated over DRBD. Heartbeat will start the Samba Daemon on the other running server, if the first server crashs.

Complete specifications of our Company:
1.DL380 G5 server that windows server 2003 on it 2.120 user 3.sql server 2000 4.capacity of data is low about 120 GB and it will increase

with this specifications is msa2000 sultable or you suggest another cheaper model ?
