SureStore DVD Server - j4152a

Hi, hope someone can help.

I have a SureStore DVD server (j4152a) and don;t need all of the DVD drives but could do with some hard disk space on it for a share. Can I pull out a few of the DVD drives and replace them with hard disks ? Thanks in advance.
