Trouble installing Windows on HP/HPE StoreEasy 1640
I've inherited an HPE StoreEasy 1640 with 28TB of storage that I'm eager to put to use, but I can't seem to get the server to boot any of the USB media I've created to install some flavor of Windows:
- Server 2019 / Server 2016 / Server 2012 R2 via manual creation (diskpart operations + copy mounted ISO to USB)
- Server 2019 / Server 2016 / Server 2012 R2 via Rufus
- Windows 10 via Microsoft's Media Creation Tool
I did the above with 2 different USB drives and I tested each of the drives on another machine (a laptop) after preparing the media, and they all boot just fine.
I found an older USB device I used a few years ago to update some DL380 Gen7's and it booted that right up confirming the USB port itself works.
