this is no function of the server. This is done by VMware Virtual Infrastructure. Take a look here (right pane):
http://www.vmware.com/products/vi/
The setup of these products is described very good in the VMware Docs.

take a look at the VMware docs. There is no special doing with HP hardware.
Do you have any problems to setup VMware with HP hardware? If yes, what kind of problems?
