services release 7.1 removed systempages registry key.

I am working on some kernal memory issues for storage mirroring software. Support recommendations was to update the server then change the systempages registry key to "0" I checked the key before applying service release 7.1 and it wasn't "0" I left it alone until I installed the service release. After the release was installed the key no longer exist. This happened on two identical servers. Has anyone else noticed this? Is it safe to add the key back?

Thanks.

Re: services release 7.1 removed systempages registry key.

The "Systempages" registry key is under HKLM\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\CONTROL\SESSION MANAGER\MEMORY MANAGEMENT\.

We are using HP storage mirroring software and it is running out of Kernal memory. Per an email from HP's technical support for Storage Mirroring, I am to verify that this key is set to 0. Prior to installing service release 7.1 the key was set to over 9,000,000. Now that service release 7.1 has been installed the key is missing completely. This key controls the allocation of Kernal memory to the system.
