1/8 G2 Autoloader 448 Drive not being detected as an autoloader
I am running Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 with a Smart Array 6i running my hard drives and a Smary Array 642 running my tape drive.
I can see the tape drive in the post and windows detects it as a Hewlett Packarad LTO Ultrium 2 Drive, however when i open backup exec 11 or 12 it only shows a single drive... am i missing the plot have spent several hours downloading and reloading drivers both HP and Symantec but not got anywhere

Re: 1/8 G2 Autoloader 448 Drive not being detected as an autoloader
The smart array do not support libraries, and in this case, if I remember well, you do not see the robot because it should be mapped as a lun of the scsi id of the drive. So you need to use a dedicated HBA, and have the LUN support active (it is active by default on all the HBA). Smartarray also do not scan for LUNS.
