12:1051 Client security violation. Access denied.

Dear Friends.

We have Rx Servers that install Data protector Cell Menager and Do the backup oparation through Data Protector client application that is install in windows machin.

When restore the data from tape it gives error message
[12:1051]Client security violation. Access denied.

this problem came when I restore the data from
tape to another unix machine.

I am new to the Data Protector software and please help me to restore the data.

Some questions

1) What is the OS on your rx server?
2) did you tape a copy from one rx to another rx from the OS?
3)Did you change the hostname?

Hi

It is HPUX 11.23

we have 3 RX servers and server 2 run DP Cell Menager Software. All three servers backup are done through MSL6060 using DataProtecter. Our Backup Admin doing these task using Data Protecter client application that runing in Windows machin and he need to resore db file that needed to server 3 that also running HPUX.
But he can resore it to his window machin.

I didn't do any hostname changes.
Error message also sugest

Description

Action

* Check and update the client's list of cell authorities.
* In case your client has been locked out, edit the allow_hosts file manually.


How can I do above task...?

Why have you two cell managers? Are the both connected to the same MSL? Probably this causes the problem.

Normally you have one cell manager, and all the other systems are client of the cell manager.

OV Omniback is install in the server2 only. Other are client machins.

DB Backup admin getting backups from client application ( Data Protector Manager ) that install in windows machin.

He can restore files to his machine but inpossible to HP-UX machine

when add a entry in the allow_host file in server that cell manager install, system back to ok.
