92283K Cleaning Cartridges

Can the HP 92283K cleaning cartridges be used in place of C5709A cleaning cartridges? The tape drive is DDS-4 and uses C5718A 40 gb tapes.

Peg,

I wouldn't try to save money on a cleaning tape.

You might do more damage to the tape drive, so just order a set of the required cleaning tapes. They only can be used 20 times each any way and must then be thrown away.

It is recommneded to use C5709A cleaning cartridge for DDS-4 drives
