Adding a Second DLT Drive
I am looking to add a second DLT drive to my TL891 Changer. I have a few 35/70 drives here that are not currently in production.
How can I obtain the a Compaq Door Lever to install on the drive.
Will this lever install on a standard DLT drive, or does it require additional parts/configuration?

Re: Adding a Second DLT Drive
Hello, Sorry but you can't add 'any' DLT Drive - it has to be spare part number 124124-001 or option part 120878-001. the levers are available from Compaq inder spare part 126136-001 ( you get a pack of 10 ). Hope that helps .....

Re: Adding a Second DLT Drive
Can someone please explain why Compaq had to make this DLT proprietary? There is absoultley they couldn't design this system to work with a standard DLT drive. A Compaq DLT drive that will work in this changer is over twice the price as a standard off the shelf DLT.

Getting the library to recognise the drive seems to be the problem.
