After replace a DDS2 on HPUX 11.0 the tape not wroking.

After replace a DDS2 on HPUX 11.0 the tape not working. I replaced the tape and now does not working the default /dev/rmt/0m, and the system created as default the /dev/rmt/1m, but also is not working. Any Idea ?

No, I did not check the DIP switch. Let me check that. I did not change nothing, because the new tape was working in another server.

is the other server was a HP9000 server?

Yes, this tape was working in anhoter HP9000. Im not sure if was a server or Workstation.

what is the error message?

If your cartridge is not write protected, and if the switches on the tape drive are in this position: only 4 on

I think your DDS2 is dead...
