Arcserve 2000 HP Autoloader ssl1016

Within windows the DLT autoloader and DLT are both showing as working correctly, although within arcserve/device manager the tape cannot formatted, although it seesm to mount ok. tried with many different tapes... any ideas??

Could be any one of a number of issues - SCSI bus to DLT drive, faulty drive etc. Need to see the log and error messages, please.
