OS Win 2000 Server.Backup software BrightStor for Windows 9x. Device manager - all ok. Drivers from HP. SCSI card Adaptec AHA-2940U/AHA-2940UW. Autoloader dosn't work corectly. If i try format, erase tape, make inventory, i have this error message in event viewer.
The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Scsi\nfrd9601.
Where is problem?

I hope you didn't attached the unit on the wrong connector, the error message you are seeing is related to a Raid controller 4M or 4L for the IBM netfinity.
then or the error have nothing to do with your problem, or you have connected the wrong connector.
You can test the installation with BExec util, or run the L&TT diag tool
