Backup problem

HI

I have Hewlett Packard DAT160 drive connect on my ML370 server.
I try to do a backup on tape,and I have a problem.when I try to backup something I have an error:

Require media missing
The current media is full and there is no more free media.Please add media or click Cancel to stop the backup operation.

when I work full backup I must replace existing backup on tape.

What´s wrong?

What backup software are you using?

Sounds like it may be setup to amend to the tapes rather than overwrite them and they're filling up...
