Backup procedure to be figured out - need a help

Hi Everyone,

I kindly ask you to help on preparing a backup procedure. Please find the following details:

Systems to be backed up: SRV1 (installed roles: application and file), SRV2 (database server), SRV3 (small application server).

Backup application to be used: Data Preotector Express 5.0 for 3 seats.
Tape drive to be used: one HP Ultrium 2-SCSI with OBDR feature installed on central server SRV1.

Details of what I need to back up:

1. SRV1.
a. Windows Operating System.
b. Data (users' data on network volumes).
2. SRV2.
a. Windows Operating System.
b. DB2 data. The backup is accomplished daily by the IBM DB2 application into server disk.
3. SRV3.
a. Windows Operating System.

The 1a: full backup for disaster purposes once a week.
The 1b: every day backup (incremental or differential).
The 2a: full backup for disaster purposes once a second week and every day system states backups.
The 2b: every day backup for DB file.
The 3a: full backup for disaster purposes once a second week and every day system states backups.

All data that are to be backed up fit into one tape.

Any ideas of how to handle with this would be very appreciated. I do not have expierience with backups. I studied DPX manual but still it is not easy for me to define the right direction. I wonder about daily append backup. But I have no idea how to deal with this. Is there a possibility to put all backups into one tape?

regards,
ToB
