C1533A Compressed Mode

I am using Backup Exec 10.5 and have it set for compressed mode but I still only get 4G storage space on my dds-2 tapes. How can I get the compressed space of 8G using DDS-2 tapes on my C1533A tape drive using Backup Exec?

Hi,

first, check if the datas you want to backup are already compressed - if yes, no more compression is possible, so not more than 4 GB can be stored. (You can only backup 8GB of uncompressed datas!)

Backup Exec 10.5 is from Symantec (or another vendor than HP)?
You should ask in the forum there ....
