C1556D.. Act Like Disk Drive

Is there any software out there that will maybe run on windows 2000 and will make my tapedrive act like a disk drive and show up in My COmputer?

I Have a SCSI-1 C1556D Tapedrive
Windows 2000 SP-4

Hi,
If you mean a software that makes the drive act as a direct acess medium (disk) I don't think it exists. If it should exist it would be terrible slow. I remember for several years ago a such tape device for HP-UX (CS80) which in some cases could work as a direct acess media and it was really slow.

Yes there is a program called DATMan but it doesnt work with windows 2000. i dont care about speed because i would be using it to backup about 50 - 60MBs out of a time. I was told Seagate had software that would do it but ive been unable to find it.
