This Drive is not found on the SCSI-Bus.
The 2 Leds are both on and the Tape-Drive

Marco,
- which SCSI adapter do you use?
- which leds are showing what - there are 3 (three) leds on the unit (excluding power led of external unit);
- what LCD shows?
- did you check cables and termination?
- did you check autoloader option?
- did you check SCSI Id set at the back not conflicting with other devices?
- did you check dip switches at the bottom of the unit?

Re: C1557A Dat - Autoloader, not found on SCSI-Bus

Hi Eugeny,
i??ve an Adaptec 29160 and temporary only
the Autoloader on the 50pin Connector.
Termination is OK, the LCD shows "drive-
comms-error" and the Leds of the integrated
Tape drive are lightened constantly !
The internal Tape doesn??t react, it doesn??t
even initialize (Spin up the head) !

Looks like you've already disassembled unit... I do not know how it looks from the inside but if possibe I would suggest to connect internal drive with ONLY power lines to see if it will work w/o interface connected. If it will fail then drive is dead. If not then maybe something wrong with the interface/internal bus

Hello Eugeny,

i??ve connected only the internal.
It didn??t react in any way.
only the 2 Leds are shining constant.
It was not found on SCSI - BUS.
