C7438 Tape USB External Problem with VMWARE 4.1
Hallo All,
Vmware 4.1 support USB Passthrough, all peripherals is ok (printer, UPS, Hard Disk)
i connect tape DAT72 USB and SO detect ..
but when i start backup (Microsoft or Symantec) i receive error.
Microsoft start to rewind tape but after 4-5 min fail.
i have try many tape...
i have try L&T, test read/write OK, drive assessment OK, device analysis OK
Any Suggest ??

Have you tried erasing the tape first, or formatting it? Perhaps if there's another application on the tape, ntbackup is blocked from writing to it without prepping the tape (can also happen with totally new tapes).
If the above doesn't work. you could try downloading an eval license of Data Protector Express or ARCserve and see if it is able to use the drive successfully as a second check.
