Can´t backup to Ultrium 920 SAS - restore no problem

Hi!

 

Have anyone experienced not being able to backup from within Data Protector Express(DPE) 6? 

 

if I start a backup session, Data Protector thinks for like 5 sec., then notifes the backup as being "completed". The drive is not being accessed during the 5 sec., which DPE normally would do.

 

I have removed DPE from my computer, then reinstalled - no difference. 

 

Tape tools report the drive to function correctly. It might very well be a DPE issue, but I have to start somewhere...

 

Any advise as to what I can do to get back in business, please don´t hesitate to write!

Erik...

 

Please install Library and Tape Tools on the server to which this drive is connected and generate a support ticket. Once generated please attach it as a zip file. Most likely the issue looks to be a DPE issue and is now, even though branded as HP, supported by Yosemite. You may want to contact Yosemite
