Can't eject tape!!!
Machine:K220
Tape: DDS2
Symptoms: When changing 3rd tape, the drive just won't eject the tape, kill the backup processes and the tape light keeps flashing. Press eject button and no response, any idea?
Thans in advance
P.S. (/var/adm/syslog/syslog.log:tape hardware path 10/4/8.0.0.0: offline event reported, 85 I/O error entries were lost)

Re: Can't eject tape!!!
To do emerency eject press eject button and hold it for 5 seconds.
Check drive with HP LTT http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/storageworks/ltt/index.html and take a look into its support ticket. You may also try to upgrade drive's firmware

Re: Can't eject tape!!!
Power cycle your machine (no restart). After this your tape probably will come out.
