Can`t see tape library but can see tape drives

I have a Compaq Proliant 8500R with a 5300 Smart Array Controller. Attached to the controller is an external disk enclosure and Compaq TL891 DLX Tape Library.
Arcserve 6.61 was installed along with the Tape Library Option. At first only the drives were visible but after changing the SCSI addresses of the Library and drives back to 0,4 & 5 respectively I was able to configure the library and add the 2 drives to it. The server was rebooted and left to run nightly backups. This worked fine for 1 week at which point the server was rebooted, since then I can no longer see the tape library again in arcserve or in the report generated by the compaq survey utility. This server has had NTSSD 2.22a applied prior to Arcserve installation.
Any ideas or thoughts gratefully recieved.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Can`t see tape library but can see tape drives

Mac,

As far as I know, the TL891DLX can only be operated with the StorageWorks 64-Bit/66-MHz Dual Channel Wide Ultra3 SCSI Adapter (LVD, VHDCI connector ). This is because the library is Differential.

I installed the new SCSI card and hey presto it all works.
