Can't see tape library.....
Help !
I have a W2k A/S Cluster (2*Proliant 8500), each node has 3 * PCI fibre controller, 2 for storage (works O.K) and 1 for backup (cabled via a separate hub to an MDR). Problem....although tape controller agent reports MDR O.K. and detectes TS891 device attached to SCSI port 1, I can't get Veritas NetBackup Exec 8.5 to recognise device. W2k shows Medium Changer - Compaq DLT mini library in device manager - I also get messages reported to event log re; tape device announcing itself, however it can't be autoconfigured !? Any help would be greatly appreciated.......

Re: Can't see tape library.....
Are the drives on the TL891 on the same bus as the robotic arm? I think you need to have the robotic arm on it's own bus in the MDR.
What firmware on the MDR?
Have you disable Removable Storage in Win2k?
