Cannot eject Cleaning cartridge

Hi,

I insert the HP cleaning cartridge inside the DAT24i and cannot eject the cartridge. I run the HP StorgeWork Tape and Tools, it say that there is no cartridge in the tape drive.

How can I eject the cleaning cartirdge from the tape?

Hi,

a cleaning tape should be ejected automatically. If it does not, you probably have a mechanincal problem. If it is external, switch it off and on. If it still does not come out after a longer pressing on the eject button, call HP.

Try holding down the eject button for longer than 40 seconds. That will trigger the "emergency" or last hope eject. You will most likely require service on the unit, however.
