Cannot open device (Unit not ready.) after the Cell Server name has changed
After changing the name of the Cell Server I cannot use the MSL 6060 any loger. The robotic is working fine, the tape is inserted in the drive, but the job (backup or format) ist not starting. After a while there comes "Cannot open device (Unit not ready.) and the job fails. My NetApp VTL emulating an MSL6060 is working fine.
Has somebody an idea?

There is formal process to change the name of the cell server. Did you follow it and did you change it in all areas?Specially the device and media configuration?

Hi Martin,
If you have DP omniback ,maybe you need to config again the library under the new name or change the name of the server who control the library.
