I am using HP COLORADO BACKUP II software with the Travan 20GB external Tape Drive. I want to restore data from a tape which spans two tapes. I have tape 1, tape two has been accidently erased. When I try to catalog tape one, it aks for tape two which I do not have. Is threre any way to get the data off from tape one? I understand that not all the data will be recovable since it does span two tapes. But that is fine with me, most of the data is on this one tape. Any Ideas?

Chris, the header information that tells the drive where the data is, was on that second tape. There is no way to restore except through a 3rd party data recovery company
