Colorado 5 GB error

I'm running win98. When I try to backup I get a hardware error 05-12-23-00-40A0 I've tried to find it on the knowledge base but to no avail :(.

Any help would be appreciated.

Take a look here and see if this helps. (BTW, first 2 sets of numbers, i.e, AA-BB, are of primary significance):
