Colorado 8GB Travan Tape Backup

We had a hard drive fail. Replaced drive, updated tape drive firmware, updated to CBII Ver 8 software. Problem: won't restore from tape. It does the temporary catalog, can select folders/files goes thru the process but acts like it can't find the info. Tried a new tape, it backed up a folder and then restored it okay. I suspect a difference in the tape software versions, but need a clue as to what I can do to get the info back off of the tape. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Re: Colorado 8GB Travan Tape Backup

Bill, you need to know what version of software you originally used to make the tapes.

Lewis:
I don't know what version of the software that was installed. They don't have a hard copy of it and I didn't see a downloaded version on the old hard drive. I will try a new location and see what happens. If you have any other ideas please let me know, thanks
