Colorado 8Gb Internal problem on Win 98 SE
Hi All -
This is probably a foolish question, but I'm stuck and I don't know how to proceed. I had an old PC (Pentium II 450 Mhz) that I used at work that had the HP Colorado drive on Windows NT 4.0 SP5...it worked fine. I got a new PC at work and converted my old PC to a Win 98 SE system so my kids could use it. Everything on the conversion went fine, except for the fact that the Colorado 8Gb drive isn't useable. The funny thing is that the tape diagnostic utility from HP sees the drive and it tests out just fine and the Device Manager sees it with no problems also...is there something under Win 98 that I am missing? I looked for a Win 98 SE driver on the HP site, but didn't see anything...there seems to be drivers for Win NT and Win 2000...
If I try to use the backup software on Win 98 SE, it doesn't see the drive and wants to backup to a drive on the C drive.
Any ideas or thoughts...I'm probably missing something obvious, I just can't put my finger on it.
Thanx in advance and cheers,
Jeff
