Colorado Travan Tape Drive 40 GIG Internal
I purchased an Internal Travan Tape drive from a company I found on the net. I loaded the original HP CD ROM for this drive, but it does not see the drive. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to use software to use that will see this tape drive? I am running Windows 2000 Pro.
Thanks
Thanks

I think you mean 4GB and not 40GB :-)
You will never "see" the drive in explorer but I assume you see it in device manager?
To use this you need the back-up software supplied .

Re: Colorado Travan Tape Drive 40 GIG Internal
No, it is the Colorado 40 GIG HP tape drive.
I use the original software that came with the drive, I cannot get the PC to see the Tape Drive using the backup software. This tape drive is no longer sold/produced. I found it on a site that sells hard to get computer parts/hardware.

Re: Colorado Travan Tape Drive 40 GIG Internal
Chris, I think it will not work with 2000 pro . Is it internal or external ? Do you have a part number ...should be under the tape flap on a white sticker . What does it say on the front of the Tape Drive ?
