Compaq DLT LIbrary Series 4120 P/N 295555-002
I am trying to locate documentation on the Compaq DLT Library 4120. I need to swap out a bad tape drive, but have not documentation about the procedure. I have swapped the drive out once, but the unit came back up and did not display the drive that I did not swap out on the display. It looked something like this:
1 2 []
where is normally looks like:
1 [] 2 []
Note: the two brackets are actually boxes.
Thanks for any help,
Caryn

It seems to be a 15 slots not a 20 slots.
have a look at this service manual:

Re: Compaq DLT LIbrary Series 4120 P/N 295555-002
I have one of these units. I used to be a compaq tech on these things. The tape drive must have compaq firmware. It "talks" to itself that way. I have one of these units in full working order I am trying to sell. Fell free to contact me for parts info or otherwise.
