Compaq DLT with Hp Server - Compatability issues.
Hello All,
We have HP Server K570 running HP-UX 10.20. We have bought Compaq DLT 40/80 Drive P/N:30-60502-10. Our Hp engineer has said this is not compatble. Is this right? i need the reference talking about its compatability and/or non-compatability.
Now I want to order another drive DLT80e for K570 box. Please let me have its compatibility information, with reference, and its part number so that I can proceed.
thanks in advance,
Yasir.

Re: Compaq DLT with Hp Server - Compatability issues.
Hi,
The compatiblity problem may be that the K570 has HVD-SCSI interface but the Compaq DLT drive LVD-SCSI. If so, the drive is not compatible. You need a HVD drive but I can't find any such DLT-drive from HP. However, it seems to be possible to buy HVD-SCSI DLT 8000 drives from Quantum. Check this Data Sheet:
