Did you insert the cleaning tape into a "reserved" slot in the library?
If you did, then no you will not "see" it in the backup applications.

now... when you say you cannot see the tape "physically", do you mean you opened the library up and the tape is no longer in the magazine(s)? Sounds like someone "removed the tape" and it is sitting on their desk! Ask your IT team if someone walked off with it then scold them for not letting you know!
Enjoy!

Thansk for the reply.

NO its not on my desk, its not in the magazine and its not anywhereelse. So it has to be in the drive. the vertias backupexec is giving the error which seconds my assumption , PLEASE people HELP me out of this or just helkp the cleaning tape out of it!!
backupexec error:
Robotic library destination element full error.

The robotic library has reported a destination element full error condition.
This is typically caused by trying to mount media into a drive that already contains media. The drive state has been set to offline. Please attend to this condition.

Oh... it's stuck inside the drive itself (Yuch!)
You may have to override the security to open the door.
Can you reach inside and press the manual eject button if there is one?
You might have to disassemble the drive from the library but I am gona guess that you will still have damage to the drive... (excessive wear on the heads from the cleaning tape).
Enjoy!
