Compatibility Issues
OK, so my two year old DAT40 drive died and I ordered a new one. The new DAT40 shows up with 'TapeWare' instead of the Colorado Backup II that I've used to backup with for at least a couple of years worth of data.
1. Is there an official migration path for people who have tapes with CB2 data on them.
2. Where can I find the latest Colorado Backup software. I've tried using my old software and it seems to not as well as it used to; for one, it seems to not really turn compression off even when I specifically tell to.
Regards,
-ae

Re: Compatibility Issues
Hi Aezzet,
The link provided above is very useful for detailing the migration between the softwares and Colorado's obsolescence. Unfortunately, the latest version of Colorado is officially available anymore. It is still possible though to get a copy of version CB2 9.1 from some resellers.
Hope this helps
Jeff
